Gongura Makhana

Ingredients:

  • Koh spinach powder
  • Green chilli powder
  • Salt
  • Ghee
  • Roasted makhana (foxnuts)

Instructions:

  1. Heat a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add Koh spinach powder, green chilli powder, and salt to the pan.
  3. Roast the powders in the pan for a short duration until they release their flavors. Be careful not to burn them.
  4. Introduce ghee into the pan, allowing it to melt and mix with the roasted powders.
  5. Add the roasted makhana to the pan, ensuring they are well-coated with the flavored mixture.
  6. Mix well, ensuring that the makhana are evenly coated with the spices and ghee.
  7. Continue to roast the makhana in the pan until they become crisp and crunchy.
  8. Taste and adjust the salt and spice levels if necessary.
  9. Once the makhana are appropriately roasted, remove from heat.
  10. Allow the tasty spinach makhana to cool slightly before serving.
