Dehydrated Tomato Pasta


  • 200 grams (7 oz) pasta of your choice (e.g., spaghetti, penne)
  • 1 cup Koh Foods dehydrated tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup vegetable or chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for a bit of heat


  1. Rehydrate the Dehydrated Tomatoes:

    • Place the dehydrated tomatoes in a bowl and cover them with warm water.
    • Let them sit for about 20 minutes until they are rehydrated and plump.
    • Drain the tomatoes and set them aside.
  2. Cook the Pasta:

    • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

    • If the sauce looks too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta cooking water to reach your desired consistency.
  5. Combine and Serve:

    • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat it evenly with the sauce.
    • Stir in the chopped fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese.
    • Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using), to taste.
    • Serve immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese and basil if desired.
